Complex Fibre Laminate (CFL) employs special fibre layers bonded by unique resins formulated by Arai, producing an extremely high fibre to low resin ratio. This carefully managed construction delivers strength, structural integrity and impact flexibility which allows the rounded outer shell to do its main job - deflect, absorb and disperse impact energy over the widest possible area.
The three-position chin bar ventilation facilitates the elimination of visor fogging and provides the rider with fresh, renewed air.
The opening/closing system of the chin air intake is azionabile from the inside to prevent the entry of detritus or dust inside the helmet.to improve the extraction of hot air from the inside. Increases the ventilation effect in the lower part of the helmet.generates a huge vacuum by Venturi effect in the back. Can be easily removed (for cleaning) or replaced.
Helps minimize wind noise and also facilitates the removal of hot air from the face area. Provides additional ability to deflect projected road materials away from the neck area.

Depending on the model, the cheek pads, earmuffs or even the entire interior can be easily disassembled. All parts (replaceable or not) can be cleaned with warm water and a mild detergent. After cleaning, the helmet should be thoroughly rinsed and should never be left to dry in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Interior parts are available in different thicknesses and sizes to accommodate each rider.
Inside: FCS (Facial Contour System)
The FCS system, designed to offer an even tighter fit and improve comfort under the chin, works by means of a foam spring support in the cheek pad that compresses and rebounds, providing the necessary support without excess pressure.

Arai employs a very hard outer shell to spread impact forces and a soft inner shell to absorb the remaining energy. The multi-density EPS inner shell is manufactured using a unique technology that combines three to five densities in various areas as a single component.
The anatomical shape of the outer shell of the Arai offers a more natural look, provides greater firmness and conforms better to the natural shape of the head for increased comfort and fit and to minimize air turbulence.
