The Closed Cartridge is mounted on the original fork, thus allowing the original fork bridge/handlebar support, brakes, wheel guide and steering geometry to be retained. In addition, no additional modifications to the fork are required.

This Closed Cartridge is specifically designed for long-haul touring and applications where load and riding conditions change frequently and markedly, as well as for situations where the demands are at their highest. Therefore, the range of adjustment of the Extreme kit balances any volume of luggage, from a rear bag to a fully loaded luggage system and/or riding with a passenger. Preload, rebound and compression can be fully adjusted from the top.

On the other hand, the shock absorber oil is contained in a closed cartridge, which allows the exact oil quantity to be metered. As a result, the Closed Cartridge offers a significantly more sensitive and comfortable fork response.

The extremely precise damping adjustment allows precise, effective adjustment to suit your personal riding style at any time and for all road surfaces and riding conditions, regardless of whether you are riding on fast roads, secondary roads, trail sections, long-distance tours with lots of luggage or a fast, sporty riding style. In case the front wheel encounters extreme road conditions, the integrated "Hydraulic Endstop" prevents the fork from reaching the mechanical stop.

The base setting is defined for demanding adventurers with luggage. The base setting mounted here is adjusted for a rider with up to 100 kg luggage included.
