The Extreme shock is equipped with a Position Sensitive Damping System (PDS), which uses a second damping piston to provide hydraulic protection against bottoming out.Even with a full load of luggage in the most extreme off-road conditions, the bike won't bottom out and the shock is protected against mechanical overloads. The damping characteristics change depending on the road surface. When riding in most conditions, the shock adjusts comfortably for less strenuous riding, before the PDS kicks in for the last part of the shock's stroke.

For you, this means that the Extreme setting range can accommodate any volume of luggage, from a rear bag to a fully loaded luggage system and/or a passenger .You can quicklyand easily restore the bike' s balance with a handwheel that adjusts the spring preload. The very fine tuning of the damping on the external reservoir allows you to adjust the suspension effectively and precisely to suit your personal riding style at any time, in any road condition and for any purpose, whether on highways, main roads or winding roads; you just have to choose the road.

Important note:
with this suspension solution, the front and rear of the motorcycle must be fitted together.The side stand and/or main stand must be adapted to ensure that your Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin stands firm.

The basic configuration installed here is designed for passengers with up to 100 kg of additional luggage. Modifications are possible for a heavier rider (over 100 kg) and/or if the bike is usually ridden with a passenger / with luggage. In this case, we individually modify the shock absorber to meet your needs.
