Motorcycle pants, like jackets, serve a dual function in protecting the rider. On the one hand, motorcycle pants keep you protected in the event of an accidental fall. Woven in Cordura or leather, motorcycle pants are usually characterized by a high resistance to abrasion on the asphalt. This is the only way they can fulfill their main function, which is to provide active protection in the event of an accident. If they are approved products and their protections are adequate, they will also reduce the force of the impact in the event of a fall, thus avoiding direct impact against the ground.

In addition to active safety, pants protect you from the cold during the winter. Many of them incorporate some kind of waterproof membrane to protect you from moisture or water in case of rain, such as GoreTex or similar membranes manufactured by the best known brands as Dainese or Revit Moto.

Motorcycle pants can be worn all year round

Many of the garments of this type incorporate some kind of inner thermal lining to alleviate the ravages of extreme cold. Some of these liners are removable, so you can remove them in warmer weather and use your pants all year round.

That's what perforated garments are for. Motorcycle pants designed for summer protect the body in case of a fall but do not sacrifice comfort. They do this thanks to mesh mesh garments that withstand the abrasion of the asphalt but allow air to enter the inside of the garment. This creates a constant flow of air that cools the rider in warmer weather.

Although they are always recommended for any motorcyclist, motorcycle pants are especially necessary for those who may ride for long periods of time, in very cold conditions (in the case of winter pants) or who are susceptible to a fall, as in the case of trail riding. In addition, in the case of summer pants, the vents allow to quench the heat of high temperatures without sacrificing protection.
