The motorcycle airbag vest is one of the latest innovations in safety devices for motorcyclists. Thanks to this new system, located on the motorcycle jacket, in the event of an accident, a trigger is activated which instantly inflates the airbag thanks to a small CO2 canister located on the side.

This trigger is activated by a lanyard connected to the motorcycle and, in the event of a motorcycle accident in which the rider is ejected, the inertia will detach the lanyard from the rider and the airbag will be activated in a few hundredths of a second. In addition, unlike other traditional airbag systems, the motorcycle airbag with protective vest has interchangeable canisters so that it can be used on more than one occasion.

The main function of this safety vest is to protect the rider in the event of a fall. It will do so by protecting especially the part of the spine, the shoulder area and the neck, which are the parts most likely to receive damage after the fall, apart from the head (already protected by the helmet). Once the trigger has done its job and the airbag has protected the driver from hitting the ground, a sensitive circulation of air through the valve will gradually deflate the vest until it returns it to its initial position.
