A summer motorcycle jacket protects the rider by combating the heat. It does so thanks to micro-perforations in the outer fabric that allow airflow to be generated inside the garment and maintain its ability to resist impact and abrasion. These perforated summer motorcycle jackets are also available in Cordura, or textile, and leather or fur material.

This is what differentiates them at first glance. The summer motorcycle jacket with mesh is easily identifiable. If it has perforated mesh, it is suitable for summer. The secret is to find a perforated motorcycle jacket that allows a constant flow of air while riding without sacrificing aerodynamics.

Therefore, the grille of the jacket can be seen from both the front and the back. Air enters and exits the body and keeps it ventilated and cool during the ride. A ventilated motorcycle jacket is, broadly speaking, any jacket that has this type of mesh on both the inside and outside of the jacket. Does this mean that the mesh will sacrifice our safety? Not necessarily.

It is true that a cordura or a winter jacket, being thicker, can provide extra safety and greater resistance to abrasion (more layers, and thicker), but that does not mean that with a mesh you go unprotected. In fact, at MotoCenter we work with the Revit or Dainese brands, whose mesh has the maximum safety certification, which guarantees a high resistance to abrasion and impact. You stay cool and safe.

A good summer motorcycle jacket must be, in addition to being homologated, armed in shoulders and elbows with level 1 or 2 protections, according to their resistance to impact. From here, you can find them in different styles, with more trail, racing, cafe racer or vintage cuts, and with different accessories such as inner thermal linings or waterproof membranes, including GoreTex.
